What is DistilledNews
A 10-minute daily brief by email or Telegram. Evidence-first, ad-free, unsubscribe anytime.
Distilled News cuts through the noise and distills the day’s events into a short, trustworthy brief — built with human + AI curation, transparent sources and an EU-politics focus.
No fluff. No clickbait. No ideology. Just the signal.
Why DistilledNews exists
News is abundant but signal is scarce. Overpublishing, repetition, spin, and marketing clutter hide what matters and burn your attention.
DistilledNews was built to fix a chronic problem: information overload weakens decision-making.
Between recycled headlines, marketing disguised as journalism, and deliberate disinformation, staying on top of what matters has become a full-time job. DistilledNews is the agent you hire to do that work for you.
Our method
- We monitor dozens of channels—legacy media, newsletters, think tanks and official feeds.
- Human + AI: editors and researchers guide an AI-assisted pipeline.
- Clustering: we detect evolving topics and track their development across outlets.
We apply human judgment and AI models to measure relevance, impact, and integrity. - Verification: we prioritize primary sources, official data and on-the-record quotes.
- Distillation: we write concise briefs with key points, facts, and links to originals.
For a healthier news diet, we serve a single daily distillation—no constant pings, just one focused delivery.
Editorial standards
- Evidence first: claims must be sourced; numbers must be checkable.
- Source diversity: mainstream + specialist + documents.
- No ideology: arguments are evaluated on facts and logic, not party lines.
- Transparency: we link to sources and mark updates and corrections.
- Respect for readers: no clickbait, no tracking bloat.

Who is behind DistilledNews
DistilledNews was found by Paulo Querido, a portuguese entrepreneur with the perfect background for this project: combines 35 years as journalist with 10 years of programmer, with a focus in automation, chat bots and artificial inteligence.
DistilledNews combines experienced editors with domain specialists in politics, AI, energy, and geopolitics. Our team uses large language models to surface patterns and omissions, but every insight is supervised by humans before it reaches your inbox.
What’s next
- Expanding news sources and geographies.
- Expanding daily coverage into thematic briefings on AI and energy.
